Water Czar

We are looking for a Produced Water guru, AKA our “Water Czar”, to join our fast-growing team. This is an exciting role that blends the opportunity to contribute to the company’s strategic direction and ultimately be a key player in bringing a safer and more cost-effective water treatment technology to the Produced Water Management market. CarboNet’s goal? Change the economics of water reuse so that the choice is always to recycle vs dispose.

CarboNet is a well-capitalized water treatment company.  We have invented a proprietary chemical blend that serves as a complement or alternative to oxidants and floc and drop chemistries. We are looking for a Water Czar to help us continue to prove that we are a safer and better treatment option that is not only more cost-effective, but also serves to lower the overall treatment costs for our customers.

The Role

The Water Czar is a unique role that blends strategy, thought leadership, and market advocacy. 

Required Credentials:

  • Over 5+ years of produced water management experience, preferably with an operator or midstream organization

  • Have led the design and implementation of produced water reuse programs

  • Well versed on the chemistries and current treatment trends associated with the market

  • Technically proficient in water treatment technologies (chemistry or related background)

  • Proven background in leading successful teams

  • Strong communication skills, history of conference speaking appointments, press mentions and editorial contributions

  • An unbending commitment to CarboNet’s Policy #1—and a career to prove it.

The Work:

  • Work with the executive team to develop and implement a demonstration and market deployment strategy for CarboNet’s first product, NanoNet Fe

  • Support on-the-ground demonstrations with marquee customers and partners

  • Source relevant partners to expedite CarboNet’s go-to-market

  • Advise on new product direction in order to meet the growing and changing needs of customers operating in the Permian as well as moving into new basins

  • Be a thought leader for the industry, encouraging customers to recycle more and dispose less

  • Act as a leading CarboNet brand ambassador – represent the company and our values at industry events, tradeshows and special interest groups

Brass Tacks:

  • Role can start on a contract basis, with the view to moving to full-time

  • Will report to the Chief Commercial Officer

  • This is a leadership role. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience

  • Opportunity to acquire an ownership stake in CarboNet, thanks to our ESOP program

  • Ideally based in Houston (Texas) or Midland (Texas)

  • Expected regular travel to Midland and other key cities associated with the Permian Basin and other US basins

  • Expected travel to Company Headquarters – Vancouver, BC
